FUND
IN NEED
Real Students. Real Opportunities.
Each year, SKFF selects 2–3 Kern County schools with a specific need.
For one month, our community comes together to help fund that need and create a direct impact for local students or programs.
Tehachapi High School
Help support Tehachapi High School’s growing agricultural program by helping provide a dedicated utility truck. This truck will give students and their agriculture program the transportation and equipment support needed for hands-on learning, leadership development, and real-world agricultural experiences.

A Growing Program
with Great Potential
Since the reinstatement of Tehachapi High School’s agriculture program, student enrollment and FFA membership have grown quickly. Behind that growth is Mrs. Mary Moreno, the school’s one and only agriculture teacher, who has worked alongside her students to build the program with the funds they raise and, at times, money and resources from her own pocket.
Unlike many Kern County high schools, Tehachapi High School is not part of the Kern High School District and does not have access to the same resources. Mary and her students have worked hard to make the most of what they have, but one major limitation continues to stand in their way:
Mary currently uses her personal truck and a borrowed trailer to support the program’s needs and off-campus agriculture projects. When district vans are needed, they must be requested in advance and are often unavailable. Even if granted the district vehicle, students often have to arrange their own transportation when there is limited space.
FOR TEHACHAPI HIGH SCHOOL, A RELIABLE TRUCK WOULD MEAN MORE THAN TRANSPORTATION, IT OPENS THE DOOR TO MORE HANDS-ON LEARNING, MORE OPPORTUNITIES, AND MORE EXPERIENCES BEYOND THE CLASSROOM.
Every Penny Has a Purpose.
Every penny raised through Fund in Need is designated directly to Tehachapi High School’s Fund in Need project.
Your support helps provide students with the tools, transportation, experiences, and opportunities they need to succeed.
